The BOY is a teenager who lives with his mother and copes with the everyday challenges of accepting her constant drinking, the men she brings to their home and the lack of friends at school. He spends his time alone in the schoolyard with his basketball until he meets a shy new girl who grabs his attention. Despite her behavior, he tries his best to speak with her and better understand her solitude, which leads to him discovering the scratches to both her heart and her body. In the process of knowing each other, they form a friendship that eventually brings light to their lives.
